Rodochrosite Crystal
Rhodochrosite crystal (Thrid Sample)
The name refers to the Greek word rose-red. The first sample is a highly polished end slice of Rhodochrosite. Our second sample was formed as stalagmite in the same silver mines that were used by the Incas. Rhodochrosite is found in both Argentina and in the United States in Colorado. Directly above is a rare crystal specimen from Colorado. It has a hardness of 4 and crystals are consider rare.
