Olivine-Peridot
(Mg,Fe)2 SiO4
This is a common rock-forming mineral. It has a solid granular mass and you can see motion from the melt (volcanic) on the back side of the sample. The green crystals are used for jewery because of their hardness 61/2-7. The Peridot gem chrysolite variety of olivine.
