Albite (mixtures of sodium and calcium aluminum silicates)
Albite is a plagioclase feldspar. It is found in the igneous, metamorphic and plutonic rocks. It differs from most of the feldspar because it forms into crystals. Albite and most feldspars have a hardness of 6.
